World Book Day

The children were buzzing in school this afternoon.
Reception children had made paper dolls stimulated by Julia Donaldson's new book Paper Dolls.
They made a very colourful display.
In year 1 some children were writing new adventures for the paper dolls while others were making up recipes for scrambled snake, owl ice cream and roasted fox.
Year 2 were stimulated by Roald Dahl's The Twits.
They designed new book covers with blurb on the back, created a life size Mrs Twit, wrote new tricks for the Twits to play on each other and lastly a group were making walking sticks and worm spaghetti.
The children were engrossed in their tasks obviously enjoying every minute of their World Book Day.

I didn't have time to visit KS2 but I did hear equally exciting happening were going on.

Thanks to all for an interesting and stimulating visit.
